On Sunday morning, June 13, 2021,  at the faculty of education Seiyun University, the President of Seiyun University Dr. Mohammed Al-Kathiri, launched the training program for graduated students entitled "Capacity Development of the Scientific Researcher" funded by Nebras Association for Development and implementation of Kafa'at Foundation during the period June 13 – 17. In the launch, the president explained that the graduated stage is very important and it’s the basis for scientific production, pointing out that scientific research is the nucleus of the renaissance of developed countries today which was the main tool for development and progress, stressing the need for careful care in selecting topics that have an actual impact, and are related to the needs and requirements of society, wishing to complete these steps so that in the coming days they will be doctoral programs. In turn, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Abdul-Qadir Bajbir, pointed out that such scientific programs and activities would continue in the coming days, in order to contribute to the development of the research skills among  graduate students. The President of Nebras Association for Development, Dr. Abdul Karim Bajbir, stressed the importance of acquiring research skills that help students to overcome problems in scientific theses, thanking everyone who contributed to the success of this scientific training program. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Ali Youssef Atti, Vice Dean of the College of Arts and Languages for Graduate Studies, Dr. Omar Basaad, Vice Dean of the College of Education for Academic Affairs, Dr. Adel Bajri, Vice Dean of the College of Education for Graduate Studies, and Ali Bamqaishem, Executive Director of Kafaat Foundation.  

 

The agent  of Hadhramaut Governorate for the affairs of the valley and Sahara districts, Mr. Essam Habrish Al-Kathiri, and the President of Seiyun University Dr. Muhammad Ashour Al-Kathiri, opened the educational facilities (the halls of the College of Medicine, Al- Sabban, the computer at Seiyun University and the Teacher's Institute, Which was implemented by Nebras Association for Development with co-financing from the local authority in Hadhramout Valley and the Sahara , Selah and Al-Awn Foundation for Development. During the Governorate's agent tour in these educational facilities, which included a modern major hall at the Faculty of Medicine, a computer laboratory at the Institute of Teachers, and the rehabilitation of the Sabban Faculty of Educatione expressed his great  thanks for Selah and Al-Awn foundations For their active role and contribution, together with the local authority, in the implementation of specific projects in the areas of education, health and other areas that are in the service of the people of the governorate, he stressed the importance of making full use of those projects and maintaining them.

 The agent pointed out that local authority leadership relies heavily on partnerships with private sectors and civil society organizations to work together and move towards a promising future by investing in science and attention to the human race.

In turn, the President of the University of Seiyun ,Mr. Mohammed  Ashour Al-Kathiri , has praised  the efforts of the local authority leadership and  civil society organizations contributing to the establishment and rehabilitation of the halls, which will have a positive impact on a qualitative shift in the level of student activities of the various faculties of the University.

While the executive directors of Selah and Al-Awn Foundation for Development, Ali Bashmakh and Abdullah Bin Othman, explained that these projects come within the framework of the interest of community organizations in the educational sector, believing in its importance in development and progress, and the advancement of the knowledge and scientific level of students in order to achieve the advancement of society towards development.

At the ceremony, which was attended by the Director General of Rakhiya Ahmed bin Alyan, the Director General of Education, Social Affairs, Labor and Culture in Hadhramout Valley and Sahara, the deans of the colleges, the President of Nebras Association for Development, Dr. Abdul-Kareem Ba-Jubair, a number of officials in the relevant authorities,  a speech to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and another to the Director of the Teachers Institute in Seiyun, Mr. Mortada Al-Saqqaf, in addition to providing a technical link and a reportage showing the stages of implementation of these projects.

Nebras for Development hosted yesterday evening, Wednesday, an extraordinary meeting of the committee for coordinating the efforts of civil society organizations and humanitarian aid to relief those affected by the rains and floods in Tarim District, headed by the Director General of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Abdullah Bajham, in the presence of the Director of the OCHA sub-office in the Hadramout office, Mr. Niazi, the delegate of Petromsila and members of the committee Coordination.

The meeting discussed the efforts of international and local humanitarian organizations to mitigate the effects of material and moral harm on the affected, and strengthen the mechanisms of partnership and coordination among organizations operating in the field to ensure access to all affected people and achieve the principle of justice and transparency in the distribution of aid, the attendees were also briefed on the efforts of the Committee of the affected families in preparing statements of the affected people and counting the damages in coordination with the local authority in the district, The Director of the OCHA office commended the tremendous efforts undertaken by the Coordination Committee, the donor and implementing organizations, Petromasila Company and businessmen to mitigate the effects of the crisis. It is worth noting that Nebras Association is a member of the Coordination Committee that was formed under the guidance of the Basic Committee for Crisis Management in Wadi Hadramout.
