As part of the vision to advance Technical and Vocational Education, and in recognition of the vital role of qualified teaching staff in ensuring high-quality educational outcomes that meet labor market demands, the Specialized Training Program for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Instructors was officially launched under the Technical and Vocational Education Specializations Development Program at Seiyun Community College. The program represents a significant step toward strengthening the capabilities of teaching staff and enhancing the quality of technical education.
The training is delivered by Prof. Dr. Salem Mohammed Bin Qadhi, one of Yemen’s leading experts in thermal engineering, refrigeration, and air conditioning. He is among the founders of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Aden and the founding Dean of Seiyun Community College. Dr. Bin Qadhi brings extensive academic and professional experience in designing and implementing central air-conditioning systems for major development projects, in addition to an outstanding record in scientific research and active participation in local and international conferences and workshops.
During the launch event, the Secretary General of Nebras for Development (NAD) highlighted the importance of the program in advancing technical and vocational specializations at the college. The Dean of the College also emphasized the pivotal role played by the supporting and implementing partners in ensuring the success of such high-impact initiatives.
The training focuses on developing specialized technical competencies, enabling instructors to keep pace with technological advancements and prepare graduates who are well equipped to meet the evolving needs of the labor market.
The program is funded by the Al-Awn Foundation for Development, in partnership with the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity, supervised by the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training, and implemented by Nebras for Development (NAD).
