In a significant step reflecting the growing commitment to advancing technical and vocational education, Seiyun Community College concluded the Specialized Training Program for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Instructors, implemented under the Technical and Vocational Education Specializations Development Program.

The program targeted specialized teaching staff and focused on strengthening technical knowledge while enhancing teaching and training skills. It aimed to improve the quality of the educational process and increase the efficiency of instructional performance within the learning environment.

The training sought to equip instructors with the latest practices in applied technical education and strengthen their ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application. This contributes to improving the quality of technical education outcomes and better preparing graduates to meet labor market demands.

The program achieved several key outcomes, including enhancing participants' professional competencies, developing their practical skills, and strengthening their ability to apply modern teaching and training methodologies.

The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Jamaan Salmeen Barba’a, Deputy Governor of Hadhramout for the Wadi and Desert Districts; Mr. Saqqaf Al-Kaf, Advisor to the Governor of Hadhramout; Mr. Ashraf Issa Al-Hadri, Secretary General of Nebras for Development (NAD); Dr. Fahmi Shaaban Fararah, Dean of Seiyun Community College; Prof. Dr. Salem Bin Qadhi, the program trainer; and Eng. Salem Abdullah Ba’adeel, Program Officer and Project Manager. Their attendance underscored the importance of such initiatives in strengthening educational staff capacities and improving the quality of technical and vocational education.

As part of the vision to advance Technical and Vocational Education, and in recognition of the vital role of qualified teaching staff in ensuring high-quality educational outcomes that meet labor market demands, the Specialized Training Program for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Instructors was officially launched under the Technical and Vocational Education Specializations Development Program at Seiyun Community College. The program represents a significant step toward strengthening the capabilities of teaching staff and enhancing the quality of technical education.

The training is delivered by Prof. Dr. Salem Mohammed Bin Qadhi, one of Yemen’s leading experts in thermal engineering, refrigeration, and air conditioning. He is among the founders of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Aden and the founding Dean of Seiyun Community College. Dr. Bin Qadhi brings extensive academic and professional experience in designing and implementing central air-conditioning systems for major development projects, in addition to an outstanding record in scientific research and active participation in local and international conferences and workshops.

During the launch event, the Secretary General of Nebras for Development (NAD) highlighted the importance of the program in advancing technical and vocational specializations at the college. The Dean of the College also emphasized the pivotal role played by the supporting and implementing partners in ensuring the success of such high-impact initiatives.

The training focuses on developing specialized technical competencies, enabling instructors to keep pace with technological advancements and prepare graduates who are well equipped to meet the evolving needs of the labor market.

The program is funded by the Al-Awn Foundation for Development, in partnership with the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity, supervised by the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training, and implemented by Nebras for Development (NAD).

As part of the vision to advance Technical and Vocational Education, the Educational Environment Development Project for the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Specialization at Seiyun Community College represents a significant step toward enhancing the quality of education and preparing a skilled workforce that meets labor market demands.

Within this framework, Tender Agreement (NAD 03-2026) was signed for the supply, installation, commissioning, and training on educational workshop equipment (training models) for the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Specialization under the Technical and Vocational Education Specializations Development Program.

The agreement was signed between Nebras for Development (NAD), represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Ashraf Al-Hadri, and Techno Taqa Renewable Energy Co. Ltd., represented by its General Manager, Eng. Ayoub Atifa, the authorized representative of Jadara Electronics (Jordan). The agreement covers the supply, installation, commissioning, and training in accordance with the approved technical specifications.

The project aims to enhance the educational environment and improve the quality of practical training, contributing to better technical and vocational education outcomes that are aligned with labor market needs.
