Nebras for Development  participated in the annual Childhood Festival in Seiyun, which was organized by Bahr Foundation for Development in the hall of the martyr Ali Ba-mabed in Seiyun city under the auspices of the local authority, as a continuation of the activities celebrating the International Day of Child Rights. At the closing ceremony, which was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Valley and Sahara Affairs" Mr. Abdul-Hadi Al-Tamimi",Director General of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Office" Dr. Abdullah Ba-Jeham", and a group of general managers and social figures. Mr. Abdul-Hadi Al-Tamimi, expressed his happiness with the children sharing their joy on this occasion, drawing a smile on their faces, bringing joy and pleasure on their hearts, and alleviating their suffering as a result of the difficult condition in the country, stressing the need for concerted efforts to provide the appropriate atmosphere for children to live a safe and stable stage of childhood and obtain their right in education, health, entertainment, and other rights.

While the Ambassador of Children in Yemen, Sahar Ba-Abbad, explained that this festival comes as a continuation of the activities of the" International Children's Day", expressing her hope to activate joint cooperation between the local authority and international and local civil society organizations and developing a strategy for activating the mechanisms of safe living for children in light of conflict and crises. The festival featured poetic literary performance, silent drama scenes expressing childhood suffering, various childish paragraphs and distribution of gifts to children. At the end of the festival, the participating parties including " Nebras Association for Development" were honored with the participation shield.

Four members of career staff of Nebras for Development participated in the months of October and November 2020 in programs, panel discussions and workshops to enhance their functional and educational capabilities in accordance with the humanitarian work standards of international donor organization.

Ms. Samia Ba-dawi , protection officer of Nebras, has participated in the introduction program of ( Education Gate) project which organized by Child Protection Organization and in coordination with the Education and Protection Cluster branch in Aden Governorate, which aims to strengthen the mechanisms of safe and equitable access to quality and active education and providing psychosocial support for children.

Mr. Omer Belghaith, Secretary of the Association, also participated in the training program in the Executive Secretariat and Office Administration organized by Office of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in Wadi and Sahra.

Mr. Rasheed Bin Obaidillah, Director of the Office in Seiyun, represented the association in the awareness seminar aiming to organize a package of activities promoting the social protection of children and women, which organized by Nabed Hadramout Foundation.

Ms. Wafa Amroon, Coordinator of External Relations of Nebras, participated in the training program to promote peaceful coexistence , conflict resolution, coexistence values, gender skills and humanitarian standards to provide relief organized by Enjaz Foundation for Development and funding from the German Federal Ministry BMZ  and the European Union.

On an evening with many rhetorical and artistic paragraphs, Nebras for Development concluded the activities of the training program in leadership qualification for women and youth for peace, in which a group of professional trainers trained over a period of three days, during which it dealt with several axes  which are the characteristics and roles of the community leader, mechanisms of conflict resolution and solving problem,  and dealing with psychological  trauma.  The General Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Dr. Abdullah Bajeham, praised the idea of ​​the program and the efforts of Nebras and THREE TRACKS organizations to work towards  strengthening  partnership in peace building issues. The Director General of Tarim, Legal Counselor Khalid Awad Huwaidi, expressed during his speech his admiration for the Women and Youth Leadership Qualification Program. He thanked the two organizations Nebras and  (THREE TRACKS) for implementing this program through which he discovered the leadership skills of the youth. For his part, the General Secretary of the Association, Mr. Abdullah Breashan, thanked the organization of  (THREE TRACKS) for funding this program and for the efforts of the local authority in overcoming difficulties for the activities of civil society organizations.

In her speech, Ms. Salma Al-Asbahi, Executive Director of THREE TRACKS, thanked Nebras for their implementation of this program and for choosing the main axes in promoting social peace. She thanked the girls and youth trained in the program, calling for them to make more efforts in the path of peace.
