The department of health and protection programs of Nebras for Development, in a partnership with An-Najah Socio-Cultural Association , and the supervised by the health and population office at Al-Somm district, On Tuesday, 6/ April/ 2021 in the Al-Soum District Hospital Hall, held a workshop for early prevention directives from malnutrition diseases. This workshop comes within the activities of the project to enhance the health status of malnourished patients, The activities of the workshop, which were attended by the Executive Director of Nebras Association, Mr. Hasan Al-Sukkar, the Director of the Health Office in Al- Somme District, Mr. Saber Bahamish, and the Director of the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Mr. Salem Bahamid, opened with a speech by the Director General of the Al-Somm District, Mr. Anis Al-Samahi, in which he welcomed the efforts of Nebras Association in humanitarian work and praised its interventions that touch the needs of society in many areas of development and emergency work, stressing the importance of what this workshop reflects, to translate it into a tangible reality.
In the workshop moderated by Dr. Ahmed Bajubir, in which representatives of the health staff at the Health Bureau, Al-Somm Hospital, representatives of the local authority, the Education Office and a number of social leaders and representatives of civil society organizations in the district, discussed several aspects related to malnutrition in terms of scientific definition and dealt with a number of axes. Representing of defining the size of the problem based on the statistics of the Health and Population Office in the district, the causes and manifestations of malnutrition cases and complications arising from these cases, and proposals for treatments and solutions to reduce the increase in malnutrition cases.
